If you are someone that is seeking to find a family that will push you to be the absolute best that you can be, then you’ve come to the right place! We like to live by our slogan, “Big Business, Bigger Family” and this is further proven by the social and professional connections you can make within our organization. Our fraternity seeks to recruit people with explosive personalities and ambitious goals. What type of person does PBL seek to recruit? Every year we take a trip to Harrisburg, PA for the state competition and in the past we have had many brothers qualify for the national conference that is held in California where they compete against chapters across the nation. Members can compete against other chapters in business oriented exams and events ranging from sports marketing to accounting to resume writing. PBL has an internal competition every year between all of the other chapters in the state due to its affiliation with FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America. One of the unique aspects of PBL is the competitive nature of the organization. What sets PBL apart from the rest of the business fraternities? It’s my goal to return the favor and set new brothers up with a foundation for success and an organization that will bring them lifelong friendships.ĭoing college the right way Phi Beta Lambda The older brothers mentored me in major selection, assisted me with career advice, and provided corporate connections to assure I ended up in my ideal company. I finally felt at home when I joined Delta Sigma Pi. I fumbled to find my place in not only my major, but in my extracurricular activities. I came into college wanting to major in engineering, and realized half way through my first semester it wasn’t the right fit. How has Delta Sigma Pi helped find your way through college? We look for motivated, welcoming, and enthusiastic individuals that want to go the extra mile to better themselves and the fraternity alike. What type of person does DSP seek to recruit?ĭelta Sigma Pi looks to recruit people passionate about career success in business and eager to find their fit at Penn State. ![]() It’s the brothers that make all of it possible. The last two trips were Cincinnati and Boston. Delta Sigma Pi has an incredibly active alumni network and offers trips outside state college once a semester to work on professional skills. We are in contact with Global Entrepreneur week to become the first business fraternity partnered with the organization that brings CEO’s and Innovative leaders to campus. We foster a family atmosphere that pushes people to reach new heights and supports the aspirations of all of its members. What type of person does AKPsi seek to recruit? While rush is a brief timeframe, I encourage those rushing to ask yourself the question, “Would I enjoy spending time and interacting with these people?” We are a group of motivated individuals that enjoys spending time with each other throughout the academic year as well as during breaks. ![]() The most differentiating factor is the people who make up AKPsi. ![]() Moreover, we currently have four corporate sponsors (including PwC) who we hold private professional, philanthropic, and social events with. ![]() What sets AKPsi apart from the rest of the business fraternities?ĪKPsi has established a rewarding but challenging pledging process that prepares our members for the future in Wall Street, Consulting, graduate school and other unique career paths. Each of these fraternities has a unique sense of brotherhood, which helps them build lifelong friendships. One of the best ways to do this is to rush a business fraternity! We have five accomplished business fraternities on campus: Alpha Kappa Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, Phi Beta Lambda, Phi Chi Theta, and Phi Gamma Nu. Every Penn State student is on a quest to make this vast campus seem a little bit smaller.
